For 10 days each July, Calgary, Alberta puts on its white hat and welcomes the world. The entire city is swept up in the Stampede
celebration, taking western hospitality to a new level.
2012 marks the Calgary Stampede's centennial year and the message The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is sending out to the city, the province, the country and the world is: We're Greatest Together!

I grew up on a farm in Manitoba so have a special fondness for animals both domestic and wild. I have never been to the Stampede and my husband has never lived on a farm so it would be a double bonus for us to be able to go.

Attended the Stampede once, and would love to do it again! Calgary is a wonderful city to visit, love their free breakfasts during this event, but most of all, love to visit my brother and his family. Hope i can attend this year!!!

Calgary is awesome city especially at Stampede time. Free breakfasts, fun cowboys and cowgirls. But the best is the food down at the Stampede grounds. Mmmmm can't wait

All the years I liked on Ontario, I never made it to The Calgary Stampede :( I moved back east to Nova Scotia last year and it's still on my bucket list! I think it would be great fun!! I'd simply love to go!!

I had worked there for the summer for many years growing up. Met some great people and say some great shows. I have been luck enough to Ride in the parade 2 years and walk 2 years. I have hosted kids and family for the Stampede and wish I can bring more out to enjoy this great time.

While living in Calgary during the summer of 1998, I attended numerous Calgary Stampede events with friends, including the Parade, fair grounds, pancake breakfasts, nightlife, concerts, and Rodeo finals. It was here that I met my husband of 11 years, but, sadly, we have not attended since that fateful meeting. So many memories...I would love to get back there to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary!

I have been to the Calgary Stampede as a young child (I'm now in my 50's). I STILL have the white cowboy hat (which has seen many a Halloween Party:). I would LOVE to take my family to the stampede to have the same wonderful memories that I still have from so many decades ago!!!

Pretty much go every year. Between the chuck wagons, mini doughnuts, rides, games, and the grandstand show at the end of the night with amazing fireworks.

I lived in Alberta last summer to work in a summer camp for kids and I was introduced to the Stampede then. The Stampede, and everything surrounding it, was an absolute blast and I'd give anything to go back!!

...this is my second year in Alberta...I am an east coast transplant living in the Rockies,I want to come down from the mountains of the icefields and trade my bear bells for cowbells....I refuse to miss this Stampede that everyone in Alberta raves about....in NS we Cattle tip for fun......can imagine leap frog with cowboys and broncos is an experience to be had....

I've been going to the Stampede every year of my life. I've moved a couple times but always make sure to come back for a visit during Stampede! It a family favorite time of the year and it's awesome to be able to continue on the tradition with my daughter :)

I have only missed 2 years of stampede ever. This year is gonna be amazing. 100th year anniversary here we come. My children love it just as much as I use to and still do. I am super uber excited to have the mini donuts mmm 2 bags for 5.00$. All the bands. The great sale center in the bmo building. I tell everyone about the stampede. Can't wait to see west jet there this year. Fingers crossed.

The 'Pede is THE best time of the year in Calgs. People travel from all over the world to wear cowboy boots and hats, plaid shirts, listen to country music, watch the rodeo, go on rides, eat corn dogs and mini donuts...for 10 days!! Doesn't get much better than that. Absolutely amazing.
