Lace up your skates - WestJet is going to Winterlude! Every February, Canada's Capital Region is host to Winterlude, a celebration of Canada's winter. Three fun-filled weekends of excitement and activity await the whole family! From spectacular ice carvings to an amazing playground made of snow, Winterlude is a great way to take in the best of our Canadian winter. Skate on the world's largest skating rink - right in the heart of Ottawa! Marvel at majestic snow sculptures and glittering ice sculptures and don't forget to visit the WestJet Fun n' Festival Zone!

My best friend now lives on Ottawa and we both love winter and we wanted to check out winterlude! I drove from Toronto to Ottawa to check this out. We went to the Canal and both of us can't skate so we rented skates and a sled and used the sled as a guide as we skated down the Canal. That was the best day I had last winter and I hope to re-live it again.

I got to experience Winterlude for the first time last winter and it was amazing! Skating outside, eating maple taffy that was freshly cooling in the snow, BEAVERTAILS (enough said right there), hot chocolate while skating, seeing the ice sculptures downtown, and West Jet's booth on the canal that was giving away scratch and win '__% off' coupons.

Fond memories of freezing with a class of grade 4, 5, and 6 kids, 3 years in succession as I was volunteered by our daughter. I loved the experience, both of Winterlude and watching the kids enjoy. Frozen I was, but the memories are frozen into my memories. The ice sculptures are a definite must to see.

My 3 girls and myself went WINTERLUDE many years ago and it was a wonderful experience. The sculptures were unbelieable.The skating on the canal was so much fun and we really enjoyed the beaver tails, which still today we fool people by asking them if they have ever eaten a beaver tail and they don't know what we are talking about. I was a single parent of 3 beautiful girls and I worked all but every day for many many years and this was the one trip that we drove to and had the time of our lives. This festival is something that no one should miss. Thankyou again Winterlude for such a great time !!!!!

Wonderful festival. Lots of fun and things to do for the whole family. The Ice sculptures are beautiful, and skating on the Rideau Canal and eating Beaver Tails is a must. The outdoor concerts at night are fantastic too. A real party atmosphere for people of all ages.

I've never actually gone to this festival... but I've seen photos and have wanted to go for years now. Would love to take my son skating on the Rideau canal and eat Beaver Tails and drink hot chocolate!

When we lived closer to Ottawa we wouldn't miss going every year. I love the beaver tails and the fun I had. I am not a winter person but this is one winter event I really enjoy

The ice sculptures are amazing! When we went this year it was too warm to risk skating on the canal, but there is a new rink in front of city hall with free skating that we enjoyed.
