Always a fantastic time for artists and audiences, and it's about to start!! Kids running free range and safe, having a blast. Lounging in the shade of the trees, or basking in the sun with great tunes and friendly folks. Go and check it out!

The festival is a summer tradition for us, for over 25 years. Lucky for us the festival site is a short walk from our home. We spend the weekend relaxing and taking in the great atmosphere. This festival is comfy and cozy. Wonderful entertainment for the whole family.

One magical Folk Fest time was sitting under a group of Maple Trees with Ramblin Dan Frechette and some others singing old Beatles songs. It was a breathlessly hot summer day. Cicadas clicked to the rhythm of the Fair. New Age Gypsys, layered in multicolored scarves, bathing suit tops, loosely tied colorful clothing, danced folkie style or sang along. Here Comes The Sun, Little Darlin',the troubadour sang out as his fingers nimbly leapt across the frets of his well worn guitar. The children danced as fairies. Their gauzy wings flashed in the sunshine while they squirted and squealed in delight. The tepid water from their water pistols spraying on the flushed dancers.
Such colorful memories of a love filled day under the trees in Brandon, Manitoba with a group of friends. Every year at the Folk Fest as the Clans meet we will catch up on the news and sing together again.
